Playgrounds

When it comes to playgrounds, families with kids of all ages have plenty of options to choose from in Gyula. One of the new playgrounds is located in the immediate vicinity of the iconic Gyula Castle. An area of the playground was designed for the little ones, the other for the rest of the kids. Children can enjoy an array of climbers, a nest swing, a spring seesaw, a playground roundabout, a spinner a chainrope climbing frame and the country’s largest swing (11 seats.) The vision was to create a playground that is spacious enough for large groups. Another goal was to include items that are entertaining, aesthetically pleasing and promote kids’ mental and physical development.

In case of bad weather, you can opt for one of the country’s most unique kids’ leisure centres, that is located in Saint Nicholas Park in the Castle Garden neighbourhood. It is a great place for toddlers, kids and teenagers to spend a few unforgettable hours playing with the state-of-the-art games that the centre has to offer.

There are several other public playgrounds in Gyula. The largest one is located behind the Cultural Centre in Béke Avenue. The ground features modern equipment, like climbing frames and slides, and is in the middle of a beautiful park, which makes it an ideal space for those, who want to spend time with their children in the fresh air.
